When Mrs. Jebecca and Mrs. Teamgemo put their noggins together on a project, grown men tremble in their Merrells. We don’t quite know how we came up with the idea, but an innocent visit to drop off a gift set turned into an evening of design budget crunching and cloak-and-dagger plotting. 

You see, the Jebeccas have a two bedroom condo.  One room is the master bedroom, and the other room is supposed to be Mr. Jebecca’s “Manroom.”  However, lately the term ”Manroom” had become synonymous with the following Peanuts character: . The room was a tangled maze of DJ equipment, wires and cables of all sizes, and bins of Mr. Jebecca’s school paperwork dating back to the days of NKOTB (New Kids on the Block–not that Mr. Jebecca was ever a fan). Mr. Teamgemo helped us get Mr. Jebecca out of the house for a couple hours last sunday. In an amazing feat of double-crossing, we told Mr. Jebecca he was helping us with Mr. Teamgemo’s birthday surprise. So, he was absolutely shocked when he returned hours later and realize all the deception was for him.

Some highlights:

• Mrs. Jebecca stalked Craigslist Chicago day and night to find the perfect futon and desk for less than $100.00
• The neighbors got in on the surprise and housed the futon for the week
• Mrs. Teamgemo and Baby Luc shopped for lighting and accessories at Ikea
• Home projects included covering old frames with cloth fabric and constructing pipe art and block games
